September 29, 2015

RICHLANDS, Virginia (Sept. 29, 2015) – Clinch Valley Health, along with insurance agents from Tazewell and Richlands, will be hosting an informational session to assist CONSOL Energy retirees in choosing a replacement medical insurance plan on Oct. 5th and 6th at 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Richlands, Virginia.

The information sessions are exclusively for CONSOL Energy Retirees who will be losing their health insurance benefits on December 31, 2015. Clinch Valley Health’s Chief Financial Officer, Jason Schmiedt, will be speaking about the different medical insurance options that are available and informing retirees about which policies to avoid that are not best for them and their medical needs. Local insurance agents will also be there to answer any questions and provide valuable information regarding preexisting illness coverage. This session is to provide education; neither Clinch Valley Health nor the agents will be selling anything at these sessions, it is for information only.

“Clinch Valley Health wants to be of assistance to the retirees of CONSOL Energy in the process of them ensuring they have all the information they need to make the best possible healthcare insurance decision for themselves and their families,” said Peter Mulkey, CEO, Clinch Valley Health.

Clinch Valley Health’s mission is to make the community healthier. They understand the importance of having health insurance and feel that it is their responsibility to assist local CONSOL Energy retirees the best that they can. Knowing which questions to ask when choosing a new medical insurance plan is very important in ensuring that the retirees are in network with existing providers and local hospitals. A free meal catered by The Huddle House will also be provided at each session for those who attend.
