Our full-service inpatient and outpatient diagnostic facility provides convenient, personalized and comfortable care. Our patients also benefit from the latest technology and our board-certified radiologists provide you and your physician with prompt, accurate results.

Black Lung Testing

CVMC is an approved NIOSH site with a B-reader radiologist.

CMRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

An MRI is a non-invasive, painless procedure in which radio waves and powerful magnets linked to a computer can create detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues. These pictures can help diagnose many conditions in all parts of the body.

64-Slice CT Scan

This state-of-the-art technology covers more anatomy, with greater accuracy, than before. The superior image clarity offers a faster, more accurate diagnosis for earlier detection of abnormal changes in the body. This equipment allows for expanded services such as precise cardiac imaging and updated treatments for cancer patients.

Digital Mammogram

CVMC’s advanced digital mammography unit allows for a more accurate diagnosis in half the time of film-based exams. With higher resolution images and computer-aided detection (CAD), the need for additional pictures is reduced.

Stereotactic Breast Core Biopsies

This procedure is a safe and minimally-invasive way to obtain tiny samples from an abnormal breast mass for examination by a pathologist. A sample of breast tissue is precisely located with a computer-guided imaging system and removed with a needle. The procedure is completed on an outpatient basis with a minimum of discomfort and recovery time.

DEXA (Osteoporosis Screening)

This enhanced form of x-ray technology is a quick and painless way to measure bone loss, estimate risk of future fractures and accurately diagnose osteoporosis.

Interventional Angiogram

This x-ray exam of the arteries and veins can diagnose blockages, narrowing in a blood vessel and other blood vessel problems. In many cases, our radiologist can treat a blocked vessel or place a stent without the need for surgery.

Ultrasound/Vascular Imaging

Ultrasound imaging is a painless procedure that uses high frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of tissues, organs, blood vessel and blood flow. A wide range of diagnostic ultrasounds are available including: obstetrics, abdominal, vascular, biopsies and prostate.

Echocardiography

Also known as a cardiac ultrasound, echocardiography employs real-time imaging for a quick and accurate assessment of the overall health of the heart.

Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging/ Cardiac Stress Testing

These tests involve the injection of a radioactive “tracer” that allows for the evaluation of organ function and bone abnormalities.

Radiofrequency Ablation

This noninvasive procedure will use mild, painless radiofrequency waves to locally heat tumors to kill cancer cells for liver, bone and kidney cancer.

Venous Ablation

This minimally invasive varicose vein treatment procedure uses radiofrequency energy to heat, collapse and seal off the targeted blood vessels.
