Clinch Valley Medical Center Recognized as a Top Hospital in Virginia

Clinch Valley Medical Center was recently recognized by the VHQC (Virginia Health Quality Center) for supporting the Virginia Hospital Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) Prevention project. During the past three years, CVMC has worked diligently to improve care for the patients and families we serve.

Clinch Valley Medical Center has been ranked as one of the top 7 hospitals in the state of Virginia for outstanding performance in reducing healthcare-acquired infections (central lines, foley catheters and ventilator associated pneumonia) to improve patient care.

“Quality improvement is a collaborative effort that requires a significant investment of time, energy and resources. Over the last several years we have remained committed to this project and its goals,” says Beth Stiltner, Quality/Risk Manager at Clinch Valley Medical Center.

By working together, CVMC has made a meaningful contribution to reducing HAI’s and improving healthcare across Virginia.

As the project concludes, CVMC’s goal is to sustain the progress it’s made and look for new opportunities to improve quality within our organization.
