U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith Visits Clinch Valley Health

RICHLANDS, VA - U.S. Representative Morgan Griffith, R-Va., member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee & current Chairman of the Health Subcommittee, visited Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026.

The visit featured a roundtable discussion on rural health care issues with hospital leadership & staff, and also a site tour of a few departments inside the Clinch Valley Medical Center to help gather input from dedicated rural healthcare providers that serve our region to strengthen rural healthcare relationships for the benefit of patients in Virginia's Ninth District.

“We had the opportunity to discuss the challenges of rural health care now & in the future and how we can continue to work together with him in his role of member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee & current Chairman of the Health Subcommittee,” Clinch Valley Health President and CEO Peter Mulkey said. “I believe we both have the interest of the communities we serve in ensuring we are able to continue to provide top quality care to those that call our region home.”
